A while ago I posted on here about the quality in our team I aint really one to say "I told you so" but now do you all believe? Todays performance was proper "tremendous". Make no bones about it, Thimblemill are a good side. They aint where they are without having some quality running through their team. Today gentlemen you can say "job done". No luck, no dodgy ref (in fact the officials were top class today). Hard work, and quality won you the game gents. Well done and thank you.

Well done sol,jay and the boys i'm not one to shirk and go hiding as you know, win loose or draw i'll have my say. You were excellent yesterday in every department warm up, warm down, fitness, technical everything. Impressed with your number 8 when in midfield as he was up against 2 bellford rovers midfielders who are top of prem 1 in the festival league and my brother who plays 4 divisions above and i think he ran the show until you moved him up front (cheers sol ). You were up for it and my players couldn't cope simple as that, you played as a team. I wish you all the best and if you play like that you'll beat spartak that i'm sure. On the league note it's no good beating higher league clubs then get beat the week after in the league which i know sol will be stressing at training. Good luck and well done and don't drop your standards, you'd be an asset in div 1 but that's up to you and your attitudes each Saturday don't let your selves down. . SOL ,JAY sorry i couldn't have a chat after the game wasn't hiding just very busy at the moment and please thank your physio for me as well.

Thanks for the nice comments Marcus.
I haven't posted yet (until now) anywhere about the game, as i'd like to think we are more respectful than gloating over one result. We did play well, and you possibly had an off day. Old enough and wise enough to know that you play in a higher division for a reason and we must find a consistancy to be able to join you in Division 1.
The guy who started this topic (Moss) is the physio/coach you mention, so he will already have read your thanks. At the end of the day it's only a game of football, and Moss is that professional he will treat or help anybody from either side regardless of the score or situation (that's the way it should be - clubs should always help each other out where we can). We all wish Ruben well, and hopefully it isn't too serious and he is back playing quickly.
Our league form (won 4 lost 2) could be a lot better, however we are playing catch up at the moment - our success in the numerous cup competitions (we are still in six different cups!), means we are only scheduled to play another 2 league games this year! With most of the Semi-Final's being over 2 legs, and us being close to most of them, we could be looking at over 55 competitive games this season, and without floodlights that could mean a lot of mid-week fixtures at the end of the season.
With regards our Number 8 (Scott Hewitt), he very rarely finishes the game in the position he starts it, he is so versitile. As well as centre midfield and forward, he is also effectful in both wide positions, and a good full-back as well. Saturday was actually his 150th game (19 goalss) for Chelmsley Town, and he doesn't turn 21 until next June! That's pretty good going, and he's being rewarded for his loyalty now with an extended run in the first team.
The biggest task for us now is to keep this side together. Some of the lads that played Saturday can still play youth U18 football for the next two years, and the vultures are already circling for their services.
Good luck for the rest of the season to Thimblemill Rec.
