After long winning streaks both home and away this season we find ourselves having lost the last four games in our worst run of the season.
A narrow defeat to Northfield Town, with them scoring both goals in the last seven minutes of the game, was followed by a defeat to Coventry Copeswood. Leading in the 97th minute 3-2 but in the end losing the game 3-8 in extra time was a tough one to take and I think we were still feeling the hang over from that game in the defeat to Dostill colts at home the following week.
Then being defeated to Barnt Green on Saturday, who were easily the best team we have faced this season, made it a fourth straight defeat!
All in all I have been pretty pleased with our efforts even though on reflection I now feel we didn't do ourselves justice in three of the four games!
It has, however given myself and the rest of the management team a real insight in what areas we need to improve on to compete for the league and cups this season. It's our job to now work on these areas and see if we can turn it around as quickly as possible starting Saturday?
Please don't forget the massive part that each of the squad members play! This was proved Saturday as Danny Leek, Carl Betts and Keiran Jones all featured after impressing in the Reserves. Opportunity's will arise just make sure you take them with both hands.
Would love to hear any other opinions on my post, from players, supporters, opposition etc. ;D
